How is Kala Sona Vermicompost different from regular compost?+
Regular compost is made from decomposed plant or kitchen waste. Kala Sona Vermicompost is produced by earthworms (Eisenia fetida) at our own 3-acre farm in Gurgaon. The worm digestion process creates a finer, more nutrient-dense output — with higher nitrogen, beneficial microbes, and natural plant hormones that regular compost doesn't have. It's also odour-free and works noticeably faster.
How often should I apply vermicompost to my plants?+
For potted plants, apply once every 45–60 days as a top dressing (100–150g per pot). For garden beds, apply before planting and again after every harvest. You cannot over-apply vermicompost — it will not burn roots even in higher quantities, making it completely safe for all plant types including delicate herbs and seedlings.
